The Welfare Directorate of CISF looks after the welfare of CISF personnel. It is responsible for processing and sanctioning of Ex Gratia payments to the Next Of Kin of those CISF personnel who lay down their lives on duty.

       Redressal of individual grievances relating to service matters, pensionary benefits etc.: DG CISF meets CISF personnel every Friday for this purpose. The grievances are disposed off promptly.

          The grievances received through MHA and individual petitions are processed on top priority. A new system of redressal of grievances on decentralized basis has been introduced as per the directions given by MHA. Salient features of the system are as under :
(a) Nomination of Nodal grievance officers at all levels, i.e. FHQ, sector, Zone and unit.

(b) Observing one fixed day as a grievance redressal day every week.

(c) Carefully analyzing the grievances.

(d) Taking appropriate decisions at all levels.    Welfare branch manages the following Non- Govt. Funds (All funds are being maintained on computers).
