| The Recruit
Training Centre, Arakkonam has been established near the village called
Nagarikuppam by in the year 1988.
|
The Campus is called “Suraksha Campus”. CISF 6th Reserve Battalions Hqrs is also located in the same campus. |

This campus is located in a remote yet hygienic environment with lush green pastures all around.
The campus can be reached by rail from Arakkonam, which is 18 kms away. The nearest bus stop is at
Thakkolam, which is 3 Kms away. Facility of Suburban trains can be availed at a distance of 7 Kms
away to reach Arakkonam or Chennai, (70 Kms). The nearest airport is at Meenambakkam Airport ,
Chennai, which is 70 Kms away from the RTC campus. |
This RTC is one of the best among other training centers of CISF.
This RTC is headed by an officer of the rank of Additional Dy. Inspector General This RTC is having a training capacity of 1008 trainees at any given time.
